What is it about the stories of converts that makes them so intriguing to listen to and absorb? Why are we curious about their path to Islam, or “back to” in some cases? Each has a unique story, a set of experiences and choices that has led them to becoming Muslim.

#ConvertStories starts with the introduction of Sh. Abdullah Oduro and the story of how he came to accept Islam. As a new Muslim, he struggled with faith, family, and understanding where culture fit into his life as a new Muslim. With his cultural journey intertwining with his spiritual journey, he recounts how his education and validation of his culture led to a healthy integration and synergy between his American culture, his Ghanian roots, and Islam.
